The GIZA FLOAT TENT now has a decent water heating system and the salt level is reaching the desired specific gravity slowly, with each new order of Epsom salt from Target store. I like their easy-open bags and according to the Epsom salt database, the price per pound is competitive with SiteOne landscaping and there is no delivery charge.
I’m using an Aquatop submersible heater for the water between floats and Thermal Guardian waterbed heater and HeatTrak snow melting mat for heat during the float. It was only natural that I noticed the filtration systems at Aquatop and sent them in an email asking which of their filter systems might work for me:
Hello, I have a kiddy/doggy pool that I am attempting to filter. The height of the pool is 15.5 inches and the water height is 9.5 inches. The lip of the pool is rather narrow.
The actual pool that I have is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Meowant-Foldable-Swimming-Collapsible-Portable/dp/B0BNNJ7WM9?th=1
I have looked at your filtration systems and was wondering which one or ones I could use with this setup.
I’ve seen a couple of nice filtration systems on their site:
- https://www.aquatop.com/aquatop-fz15-forza-800-gph-canister-filter-w-13w-uv.html
Some other concerns I have:
- is how much wattage the pump will pull given that it is on the same circuit as my heater.
- where do I get a timer to run the filtration system regularly? I would want some way to hard-stopping the timer when a person is about to float
- Is there a risk of Salt accumulation in the pump/filter system if I do not run it everyday?
